US ASB Retreat

Hello 2016-2017 ASB Team,

I hope you had an enjoyable first day! As you start planning for the new school year, I wanted to put two items on your radar. 

1) Our team of representatives is below. We have a few familiar faces and a few students/adults on our ASB team for the very first time. The adult ASB reps for the year are Micah Orr (who served last year) and Heidi Wilbrandt.  I am very excited to welcome both of them to ASB and have them work with us/guide us in the year to come. 

2) This year we would like to launch our time together with an off-campus ASB Retreat. There, we will start with a team challenge (it's a surprise), eat lunch, bond as a team, discuss our leadership styles, and prepare for our work through a number of other exercises.

We would like to hold this retreat on Friday, September 9th. We will leave first thing, around 8:15 am. You will miss the full day of classes so please plan appropriately and contact your teachers before next Friday to get the work ahead of time. We will be back by 3:00 pm* for afterschool activities. We will share this information with your teachers in the days ahead but it will be good for you to start planning appropriately for that day away from school.

*Special Note: Jaquelin/Liv/Kate/and Kellen – you all have early dismissals that day due to your games in LaSalle and Coupeville.  We will provide transportation back to Overlake early enough for you to catch your departing buses. The full group will continue retreating.
